Miami Valley Rail Authority System hoax (1999-2000) of Darrek Jones, ostensibly a subway system for Dayton, Ohio. A context for this enterprise is available at The Third Rail Online: July 2000/Looking back to 1976 in which a reference to Jones' creation also appears near the end. The original pages for MVRA constituted a hoax web presence for the entire operating company, with pages describing all phases of MVRA operation and containing an introdction to all key personnel. For example, my attention was drawn to the site by Heather Tiffany Schlep, Vice-President, Corporate Communications, one of many Jones alter-egos. I downloaded the system map and the nine individual line maps, but the original site is no longer available. I have made a Google search for Jones in order to request his permission to post these maps, all of which were either explicitly or implicitly under his 2002 copyright. I have been unable to find him, but I hope he will become aware of this posting and either approve or instruct me to remove them. He mentioned in a 2000 communication that he had used CorelXARA to draw the system map.
