Reed Physics
The image shows the angular distribution of radiation emitted by a relativistic charged particle whose velocity (blue line) and acceleration (red line) are perpendicular, as would be the case for a particle in uniform circular motion. This type of radiation is called synchrotron radiation.
This fall, I am teaching Physics 200 (General Physics II), and I will teach Physics 362 (Solid State Physics) in the spring. The course names are links to the Moodle websites. I am also teaching a couple of the conferences for Lucas Illing’s Physics 100 course. For LaTeX materials for Physics 200, use the link to the left.
