There is a program available for Mac called TeXTable that can be used to produce
TeX tables from an Excel spreadsheet (or any other
spreadsheet program that can export .csv files). It is
a two-step process: (1) Create an excel workbook that
contains just the table you want typeset. From the
Save as ... menu in Excel, save the workbook
as a .csv file. (2) Launch TeXTable and choose
Import CSV from the file menu. Your table
from the spreadsheet will appear in the boxes in the
TeXTable menu. The TeX output, suitable for pasting
into your lab report will appear as soon as you make
any modifications (add a caption for example or change
a cell).
