Representatives Billy Dalto-R, Mitch Greenlick-D, Jeff Merkley-D, State Senators Vicki Walker-D, Alan Bates-D, and Ben Westlund-R, and Oregon College Republicans Chair John Swanson.
Speaker of the House Karen Minnis is not allowing a
vote on House Bill 3500, which would provide healthcare to the 100,000 Oregon
kids who do not have it.
The bill, if voted on, would easily pass the house and
senate, and be passed by the voters, but Karen Minnis is single-handedly
impeding the democratic process! Come show your support for Democracy and
Healthcare for Kids.
We will bring signs, but bring your own if you like.
There will be a carpool from Portland at Reed College,
in Eliot Circle (The Main Entrance) at 9:30 AM on Thursday. Join us then if you
need a ride to Salem.
