Abstract: To each permutation group is associated a geometric
object: its permutation polytope. The picture below is a projection
of the four-dimensional polytope associated with the group generated
by the permutations (1,2,3), (4,7), and (6,7). We will look at
examples, applications, and recent results. No knowledge of
permutation groups or polytopes is presupposed.
