Abstract:
Much has been written about the November 2000 presidential election, and
much has been made of the problems attributed to obsolete technology or
poorly designed ballots like the infamous "butterfly ballot" of Palm
Beach County.
I will briefly review some of the highlights of the election, and
examine data from the election to see what we can infer about the
voting errors attributable to voting technology and ballot layout.
