Abstract: Consider monic polynomials of fixed degree with
p-adic integer coefficients. I compute the proportion of
these polynomials which factor completely over the p-adic
numbers, which leads to open problems in connection with my Reed
College thesis. The talk will include an introduction to the
p-adic numbers.
