Differential forms are often described as "things which anti-commute" or "sections of exterior powers of the cotangent bundle". In this talk, we will attempt to bridge the gap between these two definitions. In the process, we will show that, rather than simply being a convenient formalism, differential forms have a geometric description which allows them to unify many aspects of multivariable calculus.
