Notes

• Entrance order
  • first tenor 1x; second tenor 1x; baritone 1x; first soprano 1x or 2x; third tenor 1x; bass; second soprano; and hosho 1x.
• Exit order
  • lead fade out; 2x later S2 and bass fade out; third tenor fades out; vocals come in against S1, T1, T2, and the baritone; at the end of the singing there is a 1x moruru, the vocals drop out, and the baritone plays its high line twice, then exits; S1 fades out; T1, T2, and the hosho slow to a stop.
• Lead
  • Basic rhythm for the lead chords. You can play with this rhythm to improvise. The same goes for the rolling section: remove notes, for example. Here is the rolling section rhythm.
  • The lead also has optional low chords.
  • In the chord section you may need to go from descending to high chords or from descending to low chords.
  • Lead low line is the same as its high line but an octave lower.
  • Here is the basic muchongoyo part, hands separate.
  • You may want to invent a high muchongoyo part, something like this.
• Tenors
  • The first and second tenor together.
  • The third tenor left hand and right hand, separate. The third tenor rhythm.
  • At the end of the piece, the tenors slow to a stop.
• Baritone
  • The baritone may want to play its chords in octaves.
  • Near the end of the tune, just after the voices stop, the baritone comes in with its high line for 2x, then exits.
• Bass
