Hola.

Well, I have found this dream.
I didn't send a summary before, waiting to bring this baby to bed...
err... I mean, to deal.
I won't mention the eleven other providers who not only were late
responding for a quote (three of them even haven't answered yet!...
almost one month later!), but have way expensive costs.
And all of them are on the net. So, be careful.

IMAGERS Imaging Production Center http://www.imagers.com/ has won my heart.
They are based in Atlanta.

1:00 pm, Wednesday. I called them using a 800 phone number.
And Pam, --yeah, a gal called Pam Bowden-- was veeery nice.
They responded me for my first quote (trying to fool them with a very
small job) in five minutes --FIVE MINUTES!-- with a very reasonable
--just for not to say the cheaper-- quote. They sent me an Acrobat file
packed in an email, which contained the quote itself and the order form.
I returned the Order one hour later, signed.
Having loaded my files (11 MB) to their FTP server, in maybe 25 minutes,
two minutes later, I received an automated email response notifying me
that they had received files from me, with the name of the file, its size
and some kind words. Neat.
20 minutes later, Steve --yeah, a guy called Steve Tallent-- called me to say
that he needed CMYK EPSs in not DCS separation, as I sent. But, enough kindly,
they would save new files based in mines. No cost added. Cool.

Friday. 10:00 am. Knocks at my door. FedEx. My proof! Wow! What a cool things
I design! What colors! How balanced! What a... oops! A typo. A TYPO!
"Please, can I talk with Steve?".

Tuesday. 3:00 pm. Knocks at my door (what the h...?). FedEx. My prints!
My 300 11" x 17" cards, folded by the middle, printed in full color
both sides in 10 p. Krome Cote (Chrome Coated?) paper, were inside
two boxes inside one rugged box, in their whole splendor.

Friday. My client called me from Venezuela, asking for a new project,
viewing his --ejem, well designed-- Christmas Cards.

And this was not the urgent job.
I'm in love.

Dear Mom List:
I know you'll send me a nice message saying me to relate my
messages strictly to Photoshop issues. But, believe it or not,
this misinformed bunch of designers --24 out of 25-- not only hasn't
sent me solutions, but asked me to post if any printer like this
I'd found. So, here is it. I was one of them, totally knocked off
with the costs and services here in Miami.
