SEPTEMBER - Freak Show, an improvement over Apple Photo Booth is now in beta release. Even if you don't have a Mac, you might enjoy the website.

AUGUST - It occurs to me that you are reading the world's oldest continuosly updated blog.

2005

AUGUST - Keep abreast of whats happening on my Codefetch Blog.

JULY - After months of alpha-testing the Codefetch search engine for source code is launched! Use it to find Java, HTML, even Flash and Apache Configuration examples. Please spread the word.

MAY - My work as Tempus Dictum partner includes this experimental scientific visualization.

2004

JANUARY - The creator of the YangFang, that exemplary snow saw takes me igloo building (quicktime 6, 985K, that's me in red)

2003

DECEMBER - After just over four years, I help Cenquest wind down in an organized fashion with a smooth transition for all our university partner students and our courseware technology still in use.

JULY - I join Team Oracle in the 2-day Seattle to Portland bike ride.

JUNE - We start working on the Garden Laboratory School which gets approved as a public charter school on February 9, 2004.

FEBRUARY - The Yes Men, those WTO troublemakers, make a stop at The Shrubs while the Yes Men movie is being shot (by the directors of American Movie).

2002

NOVEMBER - My Archeaological Collage gets top billing as a USA Today Hot Site, just above the bush White House site.

NOVEMBER - I'm posting this map to the Belmont Dairy Mural. [demolished 2005]

OCTOBER - I'm so thrilled with Ant that I've given a demonstration at MIDG and Reed about how to transform xml or SOAP content into html, wml, JPEG, PDF and even Macromedia Flash using Ant.

JULY - I got tired of squinting to try to find DVDs with spanish language alternate soundtracks so I'm building ThinkSpanish.com www.MySpanishDVD.com [I sold the thinkspanish domain in 2005.]

MAY - My Central Library Archeaological Collage photograph is now part of the Visual Chronicle of Portland

JUNE - Amused to see that the Linux Cookbook links to my Personal Dictionaries in its discussion of spell-checking.

2000

DECEMBER - Silas arrives.

APRIL - Now Architect, Interactive Development at Cenquest, working with our programming team to create a highly automated course development and production environment using XML, XSLT, and friends.

1999

OCTOBER - I now work at Cenquest[archive link] as senior multimedia programmer.

SEPTEMBER - OOPS...this Willamette Week article on public art features my Belmont Dairy Mural [demolished 2005] but dismisses it as "propaganda"(?)!

AUGUST - Web pundit Peter Merholz says he likes my Personal Dictionaries

JULY - Mattel decides to close PrintPaks [archive link] effective Sept. 15. ):

MARCH - The Belmont Dairy Mural Project is complete. [demolished 2005] Visit it behind the Zupan's on Belmont (between SE 33rd & 34th and SE Morrison & Alder)

1998

SEPTEMBER - My contract work has evolved into a full-time programming position with PrintPaks [archive link], a subsidiary of Mattel.

JULY - Our Bird Appliance and other works will be included in a show at Froelick-Adelhart [archive link] Gallery.

MAY - My Archaeological Collage is part of the exhibit Here & Now at Tidbit Gallery [archive link]. A photographic print from the series is shown along with the computer-based interactive.

JANUARY - I finally got my Photoshop stuff together and on one page. Its offically called PhotoTips: A Resource for Digital Imaging Students and Educators. Don't miss the Bookstore [archive link], full of all the books I like to recommend.

1997

DECEMBER -- My programming and Charles Rhyne's photographs make up the Architecture of the Getty Center web site.

OCTOBER -- Celilo Falls is added to Archaeological Collage

AUGUST -- The PhotoBooks web site gives Photoshop Collage Techniques a four-star review. [archive link]

JULY -- Archaeological Collage Interactive goes on-line.

APRIL -- Mason arrives.

MARCH -- Photoshop Collage Techniques is published.

1996

My web site[partially archived link] for Kunstwaffen.

Voyager's New Voices New Visions '95 which includes my Personal Dictionaries interactive is now in stores. (In Portland, try Powell's Books or Tower Video) Lake Davis begins her year-long radio play "The Case of the Dead Ringer". Our Bird Appliance installation in the Portland Building Art Space recognized by Willamette Week as "Best Vending Machine" in Portland.
